Wild Child

Its again one of those days where the old memories and tingling emotions come back , torture you and go away. Funny to even say.. its Morrison again.
Earlier today I was reading this article.. I have no idea how I reached that site.. where Jerry Hopkins I suppose mentioned that he wants all the Morrison fans to write to him about their story n connection with Jim, as he stated.. that he has heard many saying that Jim changed their life.

And yes, he did. He did mine. Now and from past few years I have been trying to forget the Morrison phase and grow up.. like everyone does. But, yet again he comes back.. mess up your mind and go away. Wild Child.

Wish I could write more about how stupid it sounds but how real it feels.

Oriental style

So, as i suspected the oriental style finally influenced me. Not that I did't like it before but now its more. The fresh different kinds of vegetables and flavors. Just too tempting.
Even the variety of noodles is inspiring.

So, here is a simple dinner - rice vermicelli and salmon.
No new recipe as such. A very easy and tasty dinner. Yumm!

Music & Blackout

The most amazing feeling I had, like a movie, like being in trance. Listening to 'the end' (doors). A busy, noisy metro, unknown faces, screaming children, sleepy eyes of mine, middle of somewhere in a crowd.

Full power, full volume, jimmy boy sings slowly with his seductive voice, the lyrics of the song, as I look around.

Amazing how the experience of my eyes and ears at that moment was absolutely opposite.
The psychedelic music on the background of a messy crowded scene.
Nice screenplay, shot, I thought to myself.
Could have been permanent.

The transition

The change..

From the yellow land to green. Scortching heat to heavy rain.
The transition from one culture to another. Different people, looks, dress, a new lifestyle.
From bedbugs to black ants. Warm air to cool wet breeze.

But, choice to be made, yet to make, what is peaceful, what is satisfying.
So, a new journey starts at a different part of the world.

Change is constant and beautiful.
So, I will change now, so will the cuisine, poetry and
perspective!

Magic in Desert

Honestly, I was never a fan of deserts. Just one time in India I went and that was the only time I wanted to go back home from a trip.
I always felt desert was depressing, the barren land, the sinking nature and the serpant like texture.

So, finally in Dubai I went for desert safari and it was a mind blowing experience.
The crazy drive through the sand dunes, the ups and down like a roller coaster. Then the evening camp, lovely food, lovely people, cold weather, sheesshaaa... and the awesome belly dance and kandoora dance..

Captured, as much as I could, rest all in memory..

Well, i think an Italian dish had to be added.
After all, I have been working with Italians for so long..
and them being another foodie.. had to make one..

Ofcourse, as usual.. i have my own additions in this one too..
but the taste is same..
Spagetti with red sauce.. lil mushroom and chicken liver.
